Meteorological Services

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is committed to providing high-quality weather information services to the public and specialised users in order to reduce loss of life and damage to property, and minimise disruption to economic and social activities during hazardous weather events. The Hong Kong Observatory provides weather forecasting, time standard, and geophysical-related services to the public, and meteorological services to specialised users such as the aviation and shipping community.
