Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development

Ms Wong joined the Administrative Service in November 1993. She has served in a diverse range of bureaux and departments, including the former Chief Secretary’s Office, the former Home Affairs Branch, the former Education and Manpower Bureau, the Chief Secretary for Administration’s Office, the Civil Service Bureau, the Security Bureau and the Chief Executive’s Office. She served as Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce and Industry) (retitled as Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development upon the re-organisation of the government structure on 1 July 2022) from May 2021 to July 2022, and as Director-General of Trade and Industry from August 2022 to July 2024.
